I had Nextcloud set up inside of my NC folder or vice versa, i forget, and 2 week later they clashed I temporarily lost some important files and almost cried. Syncthing is also free, but a tiny bit confusing to use and I personally keep less important stuff on it. So, if you need to remember to read a certain note before going to a meeting or store, you can set a reminder (visual and audio) on your phone and the note should be there as well. Most or all of these apps can receive notes from NC Notes or Markor, I think.
I can also sync voice note apps with NC and my current favorite is Voice Notes, also free.

If you install FDroid store on your Android, you can get certain apps for free to sync with Nextcloud: Simple Contacts, Simple Calendar, Davx5, and Nextcloud Notes. When I find a better provider (not too please with Woelkli), I'll get the paid plan. There is a way to either use synthing (which I also have and is free) and/or sync its folder with NC. I've been manually sending my Markor test files to Nextcloud, though. I'd like to know which is better, too, and how they differ. Covid-19 has me shut in, so I barely use my phone. So, when the stable build will be released you may have to pay for it.I just downloaded Markor a week ago and only tested it. The only drawback Typora has is that it isn’t open source and according to their official website, it’s free only during the beta version. Typora also offers a Themes Gallery and detailed Support Documentation.
